Cientos de personas se reúnen en la Plaza de la Democracia para iniciar la celebración del 12º aniversario de la Marcha de los Cuatro Suyos.

 

Desde temprano, políticos, congresistas, autoridades y la población en general llegó hasta el espacio donde se ubicaba el local del Banco de la Nación que fue incendiado durante la marcha, y hoy alberga la plaza de la Democracia.

En este sitio se ha instalado un estrado con la bandera del Perú, donde las principales figuras públicas de la política se reúnen para en breve dar inicio a la celebración de la movilización que hace doce años se convocó contra la dictadura de Alberto Fujimori.

Además, esta concentración también ha sido tomada por diversas agrupaciones defensoras de los derechos humanos para realizar un plantón en rechazo al fallo de la Corte Suprema que redujo la pena de cárcel para los integrantes del Grupo Colina, y hace dos días permitió que uno de sus agentes salga en libertad.

Al mediodía, ya se apreciaba en el estrado central a políticos como la vicepresidenta de la República, Marisol Espinoza; la alcaldesa de Lima, Susana Villarán, congresistas de Perú Posible, el periodista Gustavo Gorriti, el excongresista Henry Pease, el expresidente Alejandro Toledo y promotor de la marcha realizada en julio del 2000.

Un hecho anecdótico lo protagonizó el excongresista aprista Jorge del Castillo, quien al llegar al estrado saludó al los asistentes agitando un pañuelo blanco, lo que provocó que la población en la plaza lo abucheara.dlp
